Autumn Harvest

Fall is just around the corner. Officially Sept. 22.

Soon our Autumn harvest of the garden begins. We will be picking pumpkins, gourds, Indian Corn, Popcorn and squash. Also we are starting to clear the garden.

We dug-
6 1/2 pails of Russet potatoes plus a pail of seed potato
1 pail Yukon Gold plus seed
3 1/2 pails of Red potatoes plus seed.
This will store in our basement and keep us in potatoes into next Summer.

Our farm machinery is all put away in the sheds. We got 106 third crop hay and 68 bales off the horse pasture. Total of 584 bales of hay for the haying season. We have extra hay stored so we will have plenty for the horse, ponies and goats.

The apple tree at my Turtle Lake farm is again full of apples. So my daughter will be doing some apple picking.

We are in need of rain. It has been a drought Summer.

School is starting and 2 out of 3 of my grandkids are in school. They growup to fast!

I'm hoping for a nice Fall and a mild Winter. Time will tell............
