The end of Summer is always just as busy as the beginning on the farm. We got our third crop hay in, total of 1163 bales this haying season. We've been freezing berries, cauliflower, and peppers. Plus we canned 13 qts. beets, 28 qts. green beans, 33 qts. tomato juice and 21 qts. carrots. We have pickles and canned tomatoes that we will use up from last year. So probably make more of those next year. Pumpkins, gourds and squash are doing well. There might be a light frost one night this week. Baby goats are growing fast. Our Prairie, goat doe, looks like she might be bred.
Skott and Jodi are moving away to Oregon. We will miss them!
My 4 yr. old grandson, Justin started pre-K and Haily (granddaughter) is in 1st grade. They are school age already!
Hope we have a nice fall this year. Enjoy the last days of Summer.
